The Mentoring Project’s Place Conference — How Was It?

Those who were at the Place Conference can attest to the fact that the conference was a success. It was an incredible week of inspiration. We had people joining from 26 states and five countries to share challenges and provide a great vision for our communities.

There were also those who were looking to make friends, and the mentors had the opportunity to make a couple. So, if for any reason you missed out on this conference, don’t worry — you can still catch a glimpse of what the conference was all about. In this post, we highlighted the main events of the conference.

What Was This Conference About?

The main theme of The Mentoring Project's Place Conference was finding common grounds in areas of relationship, mentoring, and reconciliation. What inspired this conference was national difficulties and tragedies. When you come to think of it, there are so many things people are going through in silence.

With the help of this conference, we aimed to help many get valuable knowledge from leaders' and mentors' expertise and past mistakes. In the end, participants should have been able to harness the connection and resources for the common good.

When it comes to relationships, we all want to feel loved and adored. But keeping a healthy, happy, and satisfying relationship can be difficult at times. The leaders at this conference came together to talk about topics related to relationships and their maintenance.

This conference also addressed issues concerning trauma, brokenness,  depression, and much more. The conference leaders talked about how to find closure through reconciliation. There were conversations about unique ideas and avenues for connecting with your community as an individual.

Those in need of mentors were not left out as there were also talks about mentorship. At the conference, the leaders shared rational conversations on the way forward and how to cope with these difficult times.

The Mentoring Project Plans

One of the goals of this conference was to help people with their personal and career growth. As such, through this conference, the public can develop with guidance, feedback, and counsel from mentors with more experience than them.

The Place conference aimed to reward people in several facets of life. Thanks to The Place mentorship program, you can boost engagement, increase retention of high potential employees, and strengthen company culture.

This mentorship conference also had a goal to encourage diversity even at the workplace. Leaders at the conference helped empower the public from minority groups who may have been struggling with achieving the next level. The Place conference provided the opportunity to enhance your skills, build confidence, and solve problems.

Beyond this, The Place conference aimed to expose people to new ideas. Several new ideas and revolutionary ways of thinking, as well as achieving goals, are some of the topics of discussion at the conference. There are numerous benefits of this, especially its long-lasting effect on people.

Our other event, the Post Place Action Workshop, was a revamped version of our Practitioner Day to help people use their resources and connection for the greater good. The participants of our Post Place Action Workshop got practical how-tos, a question and answer session, top ten lists, and so much more.
