- What to do Wednesday - OKC Exploration Pre #PlaceOKC Conference

Soon, we will all share the excitement and wisdom that lies just around the corner at this years #PlaceOKC Conference.  The list of speakers has grown as the seats for the conference sold out weeks ago!  TMProject staff and volunteers have worked diligently to orchestrate an experience to inspire and equip those who will be joining us September 23-26.

We have 300 people total who will join together for an intimate and community focused Place Conference. Folks are traveling from 26 states and five countries!  If you are one of our traveling friends, this blog is for you!  If you arrive on Wednesday, you will have an opportunity to see beautiful Oklahoma City.  Here is a "staff favorite" list of some of the most unique things to do and see in OKC:

  • Oklahoma City was shaken to the core the day a bomb took lives and destroyed families. We are proud to continue to honor those we lost and the city that locked arms to rebuild.  Come see a moment, frozen in time, that will impact us forever:  OKC Memorial Museum
  • Ranked as one of the seven most innovative public space developments in the world, OKC Myriad Botanical Gardens offers restaurants, walking paths, dynamic water features and beautiful gardens.  Located in the heart of downtown, some say this oasis is the Central Park of the midwest.
  • Bricktown restaurant district and specifically the Bricktown Water Taxi will give you the ultimate breezy tour through the downtown district that erupts with activity when our beloved OKC Thunder roll out to play.  if you want a relaxing afternoon, get some sweet tea and kick back for a boat ride!

In town folks, what are we missing???  Comment below or tweet/post tagging @TMProject and using the official Place Conference hashtag #PlaceOKC.

Friends from out of town, post your pics once you arrive at the airport or starting enjoying OKC - we CANNOT wait to see you!!!
